Aquatics Center Opens With A FREE SPLASH DAY!

HOT SUMTER DAYS CAN BE COOL!

Summer is right around the corner! Saturday May14, 2011 is opening day for the City of Sumter Aquatics Center and SPLASH DAY sponsored by Corley Vision Center! That's right! Free Admission to the first 400 and Free Hot Dogs to the first 200 between 11am and 1pm! SPLASH DAY will feature the Sumter Fire Department, Red Cross Waddles the Duck, Kool Smiles, Safe Kids and more!

Open Swim is from 12pm to 5:00pm Tuesday through Friday, Saturday 11am to 6pm and 1:30pm to 6pm on Sundays! Thursdays and Sundays from 6pm to 8pm are Family Nights with special rates! Kids you must bring a parent if you are 12 and under. Admission is only $2.00 for 12 and under and $3.00 for 13 and older. Enjoy the fabulous spray fountain and twister slide and for kids who love to swim... join the Swim Team and travel to compete! Sumter summers are HOT! So cool down this summer at the City of Sumter Spray Parks! Yes, there are three Spray Parks that will open May 14 and the City of Sumter invites you to try them out! Come out to Crosswell Park located on the corner of Lafayette and Yeadon, North Hope Park located at 904 North Main Street and South Sumter Park located on the corner of South Sumter Street and Atlantic Street; All THREE will open Saturday May 14 for the entire family to enjoy! All three parks have playgrounds and wonderful green space for picnicking but the most fun will come when you cool off in the free spray parks! Place your hand on the hand print and see the water flow! Bring your towel and sun screen and plan to have lots of fun!
