Due to Hurricane Helene, the City of Sumter Sanitation Services residential yard debris routes are running behind.

Out of an abundance of caution, the City's Sanitation trucks will be working on a delayed schedule today (Friday, September 27, 2024). Once the wind has calmed, trucks will run through 7PM this evening.

City of Sumter sanitation services will run regularly on Friday, September 27th. While we continue to track this storm, please understand that services may be delayed. Continue to place your trash cans on the curb during the usual timeframe of 7 AM—7 PM. Check our social media and website, www.sumtersc.gov, for the most up-to-date information on city services.
