Unified Development Ordinance Update Open House

The City of Sumter will be holding an Informational Open House to present the key concepts of the Unified Development Ordinance Update including the schedule and how to be involved. An opportunity to meet and ask questions of City Staff and the City’s Consultants.

 

Wednesday, July 24th from 5:45 -7:45 PM. Official presentation at 6 PM at the Meeting House at Memorial Park -- located just off the parking lot at 112 N. Salem Avenue.

 

The Unified Development Ordinance (City’s Zoning and Development Standards) is a planning document that implements the community vision for Sumter’s built environment and incorporates modern best practices. It will address key concepts including Land Uses, Building Heights, Walkability, Building Frontages, Street Types, and other regulations to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Sumter.
