Woods Bay State Park

11020 Woods Bay Road

Olanta, SC 29114

Track your adventure to the geological formation called the Carolina Bay. The origin of this elliptical area is as unique as the wildlife found in its swampy
habitat. Travel the boardwalk to see the depths of nature.
Keep a close look out and you may spot a Carolina Wren or even an alligator with her babies! Visitors to Woods Bay may fish from the boardwalk with a valid SC fishing license, walk the nature trails and boardwalk, or rent a canoe to travel the one mile trail through a portion of the bay. Some visitors picnic and even discover geocaching at the park. Check out Geocaching.com, put in Olanta, SC 29114 for Woods Bay location and navigate to the geocache box. Download the geocaching app for other locations in Sumter.
