The Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments is currently developing the Santee-Lynches region’s next Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), which is used to identify and prioritize transportation investments throughout the region, which includes all or parts of Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee, and Sumter Counties.  


As the region changes, our transportation network must evolve to meet changing needs.  This plan, FORWARD 2045, will serve as a blueprint for the region’s transportation future.  We need your help in spreading the word as widely as possible to encourage the public to participate in the input process and ensure the best possible foundation for the plan!


A web-based survey and mapping tool has been created for residents to record their opinions about transportation challenges, needs, and opportunities.  That survey can be found at  We will also use this website to provide data and resources throughout the planning process.


Individuals can also participate in the planning process at a series of public workshops scheduled across the region throughout the month of June, as follows:
